Boys Bowling Wins League Title!!!

Last night the boys faced Loyola in the last match of the year. With Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard 1/2 point back in the standings it was win the league or go home in second place.
They started off with a 131 Baker game (to Loyola’s 90), only to turn it around in the second game with a 191 (Loyola 147) for a series score of 322. The boys had a 10-0 lead after these matches.
In the first individual game all but one boy won their match against their opponent led by strong 195 and 178 games from Sebastian McWilliams and Gabriel Parks. The boys knocked down 815 pins to Loyola’s 668 to gather 18 points (locking in the victory).
Even after the match was said and done the boys did not let up- led by games of 209 and 225 from Trevor Addair and Stasiu Taraszkiewicz (respectively) they obtained 3 of the 5 possible match points and won totals 855 to 780.
The final score for the match was Gabriel Richard- 2 (1992 pins), Loyola- 3 (1685 pins).
The boys finished the season at 8-1, falling only to Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard in the previous week, lead the league in: Total Pin-Fall (14,392 pins) and High Single Game (913), coming in second in Team High Series (1737). High average for the team was Stasiu Taraszkiewicz who finished second in the league with a 173.24. Stasiu also had the league second high game (225) and third high series (412 for 2 games). The boys finished first in the CHSL West Division.
The girls finished the season in second place at 5-1, They finished: second in Total Pin-Fall (7,988), first in High Single Game (853), and first in Team High Series (1,611). High average for the team was Courtney Catalano who finished second in the league with a 154.00. Carly Elsesser had second high game (213) and second high series (372 for 2 games).
