Saturday October 14th marked the running of the first annual Gabriel Richard Downriver Invitational Cross Country meet at Young Patriots Park in Riverview. The meet, which was formerly known as the News-Herald Invitational, featured 16 boys teams and 13 girls teams, including the addition of Dearborn Divine Child and Dearborn Heights Crestwood. On Saturday, October 7, the Riverview Gabriel Richard Cross Country team ran at the Wayne County Championships at Willow Metropark in New Boston.
