On Saturday, October 7, the Riverview Gabriel Richard Cross Country team ran at the Wayne County Championships at Willow Metropark in New Boston. For the boys, Plymouth led the way with just 41 points, followed by Northville with 139 points and Salem with 142 points. The Richard boys came in 24th out of 30 teams. Andrew Holten led the way for Richard, coming in 55th place, with a time of 17:32. Andrew was followed by Jacob Gosen, who came in 118th place with a time of 18:58, Adam Holten, who came in 133rd place, with a time of 19:32, Weston Pfeiffer (138) at 19:44, Jordan McKinney (151) at 20:05, Caden Jarratt (162) at 20:42, Sean Clancy (166) at 20:54 and. Josh Tynan (186) at 20:54.
Worth noting is that Andrew Holten and Jacob Gosen continued to better their times with Andrew earning a Season Record, while Jacob racked up yet another Personal Record.
For the girls, Salem took 1st place with 41 points, Plymouth came in second with 113 points and Livonia Stevenson finished in 3rd with 120 points. Without the benefit of their top 3 girls, Riverview Gabriel Richard finished 21st of 22 teams. Leading the way for the girls again was Elizabeth Hanoian, in 73rd place, with a time of 22:36.1, followed by Olivia Magiera (119) at 24:41, Destiny Jones (130) at 25:41, Gillian Draft (148) at 26:42 and Sydney Balan (154) at 27:22.
Adding to the story, Elizabeth Hanoian and Sydney Balan ran well and once again beat their Personal Records this week.
