Chelsea Collins, Richard: In her junior season, Collins played a big role for Richard and ultimately helped guide the team to the Division 3 state quarterfinals. In the circle, the junior struck out 136 batters, posted an ERA of 3.42 and won seven games. In the postseason, she was the winning pitcher in the Pioneers’ upset of state-ranked Cabrini in the district championship game. In the regional final, she no-hit St. Catherine and allowed only one walk. At the plate, Collins finished 2019 with a batting average of .362 and she had one home run and 11 RBIs along the way.



Sharmaye Becraft, Richard: Becraft capped off her impressive athletic career with a strong season of softball at Richard. The senior finished with a batting average of .295 and drove in eight runs for the Pioneers, who reached the Division 3 state quarterfinals. She was also a standout fielder and handled some of the team’s pitching duties. In the circle she won two postseason games and finished the year with 44 total strikeouts.
