For the second time in less than a week, rivals Allen Park Cabrini and Riverview Gabriel Richard clashed in a head-to-head battle.
Richard, which won the first meeting, served as host on Tuesday night. This time around the Pioneers had a three-goal lead by halftime and went on to a 6-0 victory.
The win followed up a 6-2 victory for Richard (6-2, 4-2 CHSL Intersectional 1) on Saturday morning at Cabrini (1-9-2, 0-6 CHSL Intersectional 1).
With about 12 minutes left in the first half, Richard was awarded a penalty kick. Tyler Paoletti took the shot and scored.
Soon after, Declan Maloney of Cabrini was able to get a clean shot off but Pioneers goaltender Kyle Paoletti was there to make the save.
Another penalty kick opportunity for the Pioneers came with two minutes left in the half. Gabe Parks cashed in and put the home team up 3-0.
In the second half, Asher Cousino scored back-to-back goals and gave Richard a commanding 5-0 lead.
