The Richard boys wrapped up with 45 points, behind only Stockbridge (22), and ahead of Ann Arbor Green Hills (61), Canton Prep (126), Dearborn Advanced Tech (138) and Ypsilanti Arbor Prep (162).
For the Pioneers, Alexander Meszaros was the day’s top runner, in a field of 37 competitors, with a time of 16 minutes and 59.25 seconds. He was joined in the team’s top five by Steven Bagozzi (18:07.90, 7th), John Borowicz (18:27.62, 10th), Parker Heggie (18:36.10, 12th) and Peter Laskaris (18:55.61, 15th).
Ecorse had one runner at the meet, with Dominic Woods (19:38.99, 20th), and he was the day’s top individual qualifier for regionals.
On the girls’ side, Richard (93) was third out of four total teams, behind Stockbridge (25) and Greenhills (34) and ahead of Canton Prep (96).
The Pioneers’ top five finishers were Lilian Paschke (24:12.64, 12th), Ava Benko (25:43.05, 17th), Megan Ludlow (25:46.80, 18th), Sarah Wojtylko (26:55.08, 22nd) and Claire Stapleton (30:52.79, 24th).
